The Indian smartphone market has been quite kind to new handset makers who have entered to challenge the other big guns ruling the roost. And already we see a ton of handset makers such as Micromax, Karbonn and Celkon making a name for themselves.
Arya is one of the newest names to have entered the mix and, as expected, it aims at milking the budget segment of the market. There are already a host of smartphone makers in the country who are making it big in the budget segment. And the new Arya Z2 comes to find glory in the segment.
As far as in-device specs are concerned, Arya Z2 has a 5-inch HD IPS screen, a wide viewing angle with OGS display. The handset is powered by a 1.3 GHZ Quad Core Mediatek (6582A) processor, coupled with1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System.
Arya Z2, available via Amazon at a price of Rs. 6,999, is also quite capable of taking good images. It sports an 8MP auto-focus camera with a Sony BSI sensor that supports HD recording and a host of smart features like smile detection, Voice activated Camera Operation and high speed continuous shooting. At the front it has a 2MP snapper which can make taking selfies and making video calls easier. The camera is quite similar to the Redmi 1S smartphone.
The smartphone houses 4GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity,the Arya Z2 supports EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG connectivity.
The smartphone supports a micro and regular sized SIM with 3G data connectivity on both SIM cards. It is powered by a 1,800mAh battery.
