Ascend P2 and W2 Leaks Online: Huawei Gears up to Battle Against Killer Windows Phone 8 Range
Chinese mobile maker, Huawei stole the Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas with its impressive devices and it looks like more device from the company planned for 2013 release have taken the limelight. According to the latest report, Huawei will announce two more WP8 handsets in the near future, namely Ascend P2 and Huawei Ascend W2.
Huawei Ascend P2
Recently, the ChinaSmartphoneReview website posted the specs of Huawei Ascend P2 which gave an idea that the device will come with a 5-inch High definition display, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable using microSD card, a 13 MP rear camera, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera and a large 3000mAh battery to run the device.
Further, the successor of Ascend P1 is also rumored to come equipped with Bluetooth, USB, WLAN, Hisilicon K3V2 quad-core processor running Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile operating system and available in Black and white color.
This could darken the chances of Ascend P2's becoming a potential rival to HTCs J Butterfly, while there are no details about the pricing and release date of the upcoming Huawei handset. However speculations suggest that Huawei could use a little show in February MWC 2013 to announce the launch of Ascend P2.
CES 2013 is over now and most of the tech enthusiasts are reporting that this year's Consumer Electronics Show wasn't very good and it didn't have any truly exciting devices (except the Sony Xperia Z/ZL) both in Android and Windows Phone platforms. Earlier this month, Huawei has announced its lower-end Windows Phone 8 handset called Ascend W1.
Huawei Ascend W2
Another rumored device is called Huawei Ascend W2, about which rumors are ongoing since mid-November 213. Huawei Exec Richard YU has revealed that the manufacturer is planning to introduce the Ascend W2 at the same MWC 2013 event next month in Barcelona.
On the other end, reports are anticipating that Ascend W2 might land featuring a 4.5-inch 720p HD ultra-sensitive touchscreen, a dual-core processor, a full gigabyte of of RAM, 16 GB of onboard storage, a massive 2,800mAh battery, 8 MP main camera on back side. The sources also said that it is going to be the thinnest Windows Phone 8 device, measuring at just 7.7 mm thin frame.
Hence, it wont be inappropriate to say that Nokia or Samsung are not along to pepper up the market with its next-gen offering in the WP8 range, there are others on the showground too. Especially Huawei is sure prepping up killer smartphone range to rival straightforwardly against Lumia 920, 820, Samsung Ativ S and HTC 8X and 8S handsets.
