Asus To Soon Reveal 5-Inch Variant of ZenFone 2 [REPORT]

It looks like Asus has a new smartphone on the way, as details have been leaked about the 5-inch ZenFone 2, and the device comes with some epic specifications.

According to Taiwanese website Sogi, the 5-inch ZenFone 2, will be a special variant of ZenFone 2, which sports a 5-inch display. It's being reported that the new entry-level variant could be launched soon in the market, though the exact release date or price remains a question.

As PhoneArena notes, the 5-inch ZenFone 2 is expected to look identical to the ZenFone 2. Plus, the handset is believed to feature a 5-inch 720p HD screen, a quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5 MP front-facing shooter and Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI.

Apparently, the ZenFone 2 will hit the market at around $200 (Rs. 12,600). Keeping that thing in mind, the new 5-inch model is expected to be priced even cheaper.

Finally, the 5-inch ZenFone 2 might look at emerging markets as its possible selling grounds. There is no rumoured date of release as of yet for the 5-inch version of ZenFone 2.

Meanwhile, Asus has launched a new version of its popular ZenFone 5 in India. Called the ZenFone 5 (A501CG-2B509WWE), it is priced at just Rs. 7,999. The new variant is now available to buy on Flipkart.
