Its recent devices have gone down well with users in India, and its bullish talk earlier this year that it would sell 30 million smartphones this fiscal year, appears to be no mere joke.
Asus' latest flagship device, the ZenFone 2, will be launching in India in April this year. The company had showed the device at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Since launch there was a bit of confusion in respect to which variant would be made available in India. Now, Asus has itself clarified that they will be launching all the three variants of the Asus ZenFone 2 in the country.
The first of these is Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML, which comes with a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display; 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 with PowerVR G6430 GPU; 2GB RAM;16GB internal memory; expandable memory up to 64GB via micro SD; Android 5.0 (Lollipop);13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Real Tone flash; 5MP front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture; Dual SIM; 4G LTE; 3000mAh battery.
The top-notch model features Asus ZenFone 2 features a healthy 4GB of RAM alongside 32GB inbuilt storage and 5.5-inch full-HD display while the Zenfone 2 ZE500CL features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display; 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor; 2GB RAM;16GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 64GB via micro SD; Android 5.0 (Lollipop); 8MP rear camera with LED flash; 2MP front-facing camera; 4G LTE; 2500 mAh battery.
All these above mentioned handsets could be priced anywhere between Rs.8,999 and Rs.19,999 in India. Asus is yet to reveal the Asus ZenFone 2's price, although it probably would be cheap considering the ZenFone 2 over the Samsung Galaxuy S6, pricing starts at Rs. 49,990.
