One of the most anticipated mobile phones, Blackberry Bold 9900 has finally been revealed. The dashing touch screen of high resolution and the coolest looking QWERTY keypad is reason enough to own a Blackberry Bold 9900. The handset supports 2G networks of frequencies GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G networks as well of frequencies HSDPA 900 / 2100 & HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100. 115 x 66 x 10.5 mm is the best dimension the new mobile handset can ever have and it looks brilliant. It weighs 130 grams.

The screen's quality was mentioned just above. With 286 ppi high pixel density, the maximum resolution of this 2.8 inches 16 M colour TFT capacitive touchscreen is 640 x 480 pixels but the display quality is amazing. Sensors and optical trackpads are included in the phone. The QWERTY keyboard has touch sensitive and smooth keys. Vibration and ringtone alerts are obvious features. The phonebook has Photocall facility and can record call details of unlimited capacities. The quick access capability of Blackberry Bold 9900 owes it all to the 768 MB RAM. The new mobile handset supports the most common microSD cards only and the memory extensibility has a limit of upto 32 GB.

Almost all types of internet connectivity options are supported by Bold 9900 such as 3G (HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps), Hi-speed WiFi (802.11 b/g/n, dual-band), GPRS and EDGE. The phone allows easy, fast and reliable data transmission and sharing with its A2DP 2.1 version Bluetooth. V2.0 micro USB ports in these new mobile handsets allow fast connections with computers. If you care more about the camera specifications, then you would be more than satisfied with the 5 Megapixel LED flash camera able to capture pictures of 2592 x 1944 pixels max resolution. The camera is also able to perform geo-tagging, face detection, etc and can also stabilise the images captured. Video recording ability is absolutely incredible with captures of 720p resolution videos. Video conferencing is not an option as Bold 9900 lacks a front camera.

With Blackberry OS 7.0, the handset is extremely easy to operate on. Its fast performance is the work of its 1.2 GHz QC 8655 processor. The HTML browser is very comfortable and simple to use which has been accepted in other models of Blackberry as well. The phone also lacks FM radio feature. A-GPS facility, Blackberry maps, Digital compass, Organizer, etc are embedded in the phone. Music and Video players are marvelous supporting formats like MP4/WMV/H.263/H.264
