The competition where a brand with best offers gets to sell out more number of units. Recently, BlackbBerry has entered the market with the o%EMI plan where they would provide the customers with BlackBerry 10 device and the BlackBerry Curve 9220 at an easy EMI scheme.
Like most other EMI schemes which are offered by companies like Samsung and Nokia, this will also have a similar feature like Rs. 0 down payment, 0% processing fee and 0% interest. It is reported that the plan will be rolled out in 3000 BlackBerry outlets across India this weekend.
The options are that one can choose to pay Rs. 4,799/- per month for 9 months, for the BlackBerry Z10, the handset that operates on the BB10 platform and Rs. 799 per month for 12 months, for the Curve 9220.
Reportedly, BlackBerry has made ties with banks like Axis Bank, Citibank, HDFC bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Kotak, SBI Card and Standard Chartered wherein people may use their above mentioned bank's credit cards to avail the EMI scheme for BlackBerry.
Not only that but BlackBerry has also partnered with Idea cellular to launch a 1GB/month mobile data plan with BIS, priced at Rs. 999 per year. Although, it is not known whether it will be a 2G or 3G network but Idea offer will be available in eight states viz. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. But sadly this offer has only been attached to the Curve 9220.
Reportedly, the company said that the launch of this plan reasserts BlackBerry's commitment to make smartphone experience more accessible and affordable to the masses, especially the upwardly mobile youth.
It was also said that the plan will be rolled out in 2500 BlackBerry outlets across the country by this weekend and will be available in additional 400 outlets by next week.
