BlackBerry Launches Porsche Design P'9982 All Touch Luxury Smartphone
Recently, the struggling Canadian handset manufacturer, BlackBerry in association with Porsche Design has launched a new all-touch Porsche Design P'9982 luxury smartphone.

Reportedly, BlackBerry said that the device is fashioned from high-quality materials and features a customized version of its BB10.2 operating system. "Engineered luxury meets powered performance - what has been true for the first Porsche Design smartphone is even truer for the all-touch P'9882," Porsche Design Group CEO Juergen Gessler said.

However, talking about the specs, the luxury device P'9982 features 4.2-inch display offering a resolution of 1280×768 pixels. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The maker has improved in the internal storage capacity of the device, which is now at 64GB and can be further expanded using a microSD card.
There is also an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front facing shooter and a 1,800mAh battery which the company says will offer 8 hours or talktime and up to 10 days on standby mode.
In the connectivity front, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC can be found. Moreover, there are features like BlackBerry Priority Hub and BBM video with screen share among others. Buyers will also get a ‘unique' BBM PIN that will make users of the smartphone ‘instantly recognizable.'
In terms of design, the Porsche designers have added an Italian leather and stainless steel to give the smartphone an ultra-premium look. BlackBerry is also offering multiple colored Italian leather backs, to help customize the phone further. BlackBerry handsets with Porsche Design also include P'9981 in gold, silver and black.
The smartphone will be available at Porsche Design stores, select carriers and retailers globally starting today (November 21), with the exclusive retail launch at Harrods, Knightsbridge, London.
