Display, Design and Aesthetics

The BlackBerry Q5 is a mesmerizing handset with unique Mono Block design. It looks like a regular BlackBerry smartphone. Remember BlackBerry Curve series? But at the same time, BlackBerry is getting restless about young brigade of India. Generally, BlackBerry made devices are meant to lure corporate executives, however, the coming of BlackBerry Q5 indicate that the tech vendor now want a change. That's exactly one can see in the aesthetical appeal of the handset. Naturally, BlackBerry would not like to forget its old school BB fanboys. Still the BlackBerry Q5 hits at the right note, when it comes to balancing a design form that will appeal to both fanboys and new comers.

The BlackBerry Q5 is not an underrated device by any means. It's a classy handset. The phone has a 3.1 -inch capacitive touch display having resolution of 720 x 720 pixels at 328ppi. Let's not forget that the device is a mash up of physical key-pad and a touch display. Even though the display is not large enough, however, you will get to see signature BlackBerry keyboard. BlackBerry devices are known for experience, and that's what BB has come up with. Talking about the display, it's impeccably brilliant with no faults found in our testing. You can sense the fluidity of the screen, and the way BlackBerry 10 OS blends - it's magical. The screen produced right colors, easy to read texts, and excellent viewing angle performance.

The only disappointment with BB Q5 is the quality of plastic used to made the device, especially, when one look at the rear back. The tech vendor could have adopted for better looking plastic panel. Overall, it's a light phone and weighs just right at 120 grams. On the right-hand side, you will notice Voice Control button placed in -between Volume buttons. While on the left-hand side of the display comes micro-SIM card try along with microSD card and USB 2.0 port as well. On the top of the phone, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and power button can be seen. On the rear back, a 5-mega pixel camera module and LED Flash have been fitted. Speakers have been placed somewhere at the bottom of the phone.

The signature 35 Key QWERTY BlackBerry physical keypad is the real reason why anyone would pick BBQ5 over an Android phone. It's just phenomenal. Typing on a physical key-pad is so fast than normal touch keypad. This is one typical feature of BlackBerry phones that makes them supremely insane and brilliant. The Keyboard also features some pre-determined shortcuts. All you need to press them, to reach your final destination.
