The event will take place in Mumbai, as per new reports. The BlackBerry Z10 is already making waves in Canada and UK, where it got a massive opening in the first few days of its release. Now with the launch date of India coming near, it is also being said that the device will be available in two color options: Black and White with estimated price tag of Rs. 39,000.
BlackBerry 10, is a brand new mobile OS, from BlackBerry (earlier known by the name of RIM). On January 30th, the struggling smartphone announced the arrival of two bold handsets. The BlackBerry Z10, is a full -touch screen handset with latest innovations folded into one the device. It supports BB10 - the next generation of mobile OS. While the second handset i.e. BlackBerry Q10, is a QWERTY keypad supported handset and runs on BB10. The BBZ10 has been launched recently across the leading territories, and its sibling BBQ10, is yet to be launched. Leading tech reviewers gave BBZ10 an average score in their tests.
In a report published in IBNLive.com, the folks over there claim February 25, as the confirmed release date of BBZ10, in India. For BlackBerry, India is a critical market as the company has a 12 per cent market share in the nation. With BB Z10, the smartphone maker would like to woo high end business consumers.
On the other hand, Apple is already playing its cards well and would continue to make its presence felt in the upper segment. The Cupertino-based tech giant saw its sales grow by 300 per cent in the last quarter - thanks to iPhone 5.

The BlackBerry 10 is a decent handset with a 4.2-inch display with a resolution of 768 X 1280 pixels, 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor (1.5GHz Dual Core), 16GB of internal storage (expandable memory via micro SD card), an 8-mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and 2 -mega pixels front facing camera, mini HDMI port, BB10 OS, Wi-Fi, 3G, NFC, and 1800mAh battery. The company would like to keep the price under Rs. 40,000.
