BlackBerry haven't enjoyed quite the name when compared to the likes of Samsung or Sony in terms of smartphones manufacturing. However, it seems like the company may still be harboring aspirations to go big this year. And the device that it's betting on to do that for it is the hghly rumored BlackBerry Z3.
There have been reports circulating earlier that the BlackBerry Z3 will arrive in India when the global release for the device is finalised. And now, new reports are stating that after Indonesia, the BlackBerry Z3 will be hitting the Indian store shelves in the next few weeks with a price tag of Rs 11,000.
Reported first via The Indian Express, the new BlackBerry Z3 is set to be the first full touchscreen budget phone from the Canadian smartphone maker. And now the new Jakarta version of the phone could be set to be available in the Indian market in a few week's time. Apparently, the phone already started selling in Indonesia since May 16 and even received quite the response.
Previous to this, BlackBerry had already confirmed that the company will be rolling out the Z3 in as many as seven countries, including India. However, the exact launch dates for the device still remained a mystery since the company wanted to deal its cards according to the kind of response the handset would garner from the Indonesian users.
Going by the specs of the device once more, the BlackBerry Z3 is basically a mid-range handset. The device features a 5-inch full touch display with a 540×960 resolution and also runs the latest version of BlackBerry 10 OS.
The BlackBerry Z3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with a dual-core processor fitted inside along with 1.5GB of RAM. On the imaging terms, the device sports a 5MP rear camera and a 1.1MP front-facing camera.
At it given specs and a low price tag, the Z3 will now arrive to compete against the likes of Nokia Lumia 630 and Moto G.
