BlackBerry Z3, Jakarta Edition Launched With 5-inch qHD Display, BB10.2 OS
The heavily-rumored BlackBerry Windermere was leaked online a couple of days back featuring 4.5-Inch display. However, on the more real front of things, the struggling Canadian smartphone maker has today officially made announced its BlackBerry Z3, Jakarta Edition at an event in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The BlackBerry Z3, Jakarta Edition, will be available to customers starting May 15, 2014. The device is expected to retail through authorized partners at a price of IDR 2,199,000 which roughly translates into Rs. 11,434 in Indian currency.

Sadly, the BlackBerry Z3, Jakarta Edition is exclusively built for Indonesia market and thus it is very unlikely to hit other markets.

BlackBerry Z3, Jakarta Edition comes with a 5-inch display with a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels.
It is powered by a Dual Core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8230 coupled with 1.5GB RAM and runs on BlackBerry 10.2 OS.
In the imaging aspect, there is a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with Flash, continuous touch to focus, image stabilisation and 5x digital zoom. Also add a 1.1MP rear camera at the front.
BlackBerry has used an 8GB inbuilt storage unit which can be further expanded up to 323GB via microSD card.
Connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G.
It is powered by 2500mAH non-removable battery which according to the company will offer up to 15.5 hours of talk time; up to 16.2 days standby time; up to 84 hours of audio playback and up to 10 hours of video playback.
