BlackBerry 10 Release Update: RIM Might Launch BB10 Smartphone in Canada on February 28

It is about three weeks since RIM unveiled its first two BlackBerry 10 smartphones. In this short period of time, number of leaks related to latest BlackBerry 10 devices from RIM are being made available to public. Certain websites provide even the promotional photographs of these devices highlighting the features supported by the BB10 platform.

 

The exclusive pictures of upcoming BlackBerry Z10 full-touch smartphone can be found in these sites. It is reported that these pictures depicts both black and white shades of this smartphone. Also, they give precise information about the accessories suitable for this device and their photos.

The list of significant BB10 features indicated by those photos is not limited to just those. The leaked images and reports confirm that the latest BB10 devices from RIM will support video conversations with BlackBerry Messenger service. There were rumors about this fact before the launch of BlackBerry 10 smartphones.

Apart from that, the leaked report says that the users can share their screen with the person on the other end of conversation if they want. The BlackBerry Balance is the other noteworthy feature leaked with the promotional photographs. With this feature, users can group the app and contents in their BlackBerry 10 smartphone for personal use and job-related functions.

Come January 30 and Research In Motion (RIM) will splash the tech grounds with the launch of their next generation mobile operating system, BlackBerry 10 for their ever popular Blackberry smartphones. While recent reports have already acquainted the BB fans with the fact that RIM is planning to introduce the new OS with two smartphones including the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry X10, however, the company is still tight lipped when it comes to release dates and price points of the duo.

Already, three major US carrier operators including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile have confirmed in the past reports that that they would carry the BlackBerry 10 devices on their respective networks. However, the latest on the matter will actually raise many brows, Yes! reports have come in stating that RIM is all geared to launch its BB10 smartphones in Canada on February 28.

This information has been interjected depending upon the newly leaked image, which has been obtained from Best Buy Canada's internal inventory system. The image has also revealed that the Blackberry 10 device will be available for $799.99 in Canadian carrier Bell.

At the same time, the Best Buy Canada site has also display a Blackberry 10 Coming Soon banner on their official website, which quotes the smartphone as "Re-designed. Re-engineered. Re-invented."

On this folks at BGR contacted RIM for comment, however the manufacturer declined to confirm or deny the launch date and stated "We understand that there is a lot of excitement for BlackBerry 10," and "We will launch the platform on January 30 and until then we won't comment on speculation."

Well, this shows RIM is surely trying to follow Apple strategy to uphold the fervor when it comes to its upcoming launches. But at the same, tech media world is also leaving no stone unturned in terms of number of leaks, which is certainly going to intensify with the nearing of the debut.

The latest one in the row was Blackberry 10 promotional images which got leaked by Rapid Berry. The images basically highlighted the features of Blackberry Z10 including BBM Video - Share the screen with the caller, New Blackberry Keyboard, Blackberry Balance - Group the apps and contents, Blackberry Time Shift camera and Blackberry Browser.

As claimed the RIM officials, BBM service will support video conversations and users will be able to share their screen with callers, also the Browser would be world class and on par with iOS and Android browsers. Reportedly, it was also informed that more than 70,000 apps will be available at launch, hence, the Blackberry Balance to organize the apps efficiently.
