Bluemax Unveils Budget Phones and Tablet PCs Starting Rs 2,500 in Andhra Pradesh
In a recent development, Bluemax Impex announced the launch of seven budget phones and two tablet PCs in Andhra Pradesh under the brand name – Blu. Reportedly, the company plans to introduce their new range of devices in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu by next month.
As per reports, Rajkumar Harwani, Chairman of Bluemax Impex (India) and promoter of Supreme Recording Company informed that initially Bluemax used to import mobile phones from Chinese manufacturers and sell them directly in the market. The new range of budget handsets are priced below Rs 2,500 and feature dual Sim card option. On the other hand, the company has launched two tablets in which one of them include 7 inch screen that is particularly targeted to serve the student community.

The other tablet, which supports external USB dongle is priced at Rs 5,500 and the one with 2G SIM insert slot is priced at Rs 7,999. “We plan to launch more models by January, which includes a 3G SIM based tablet along with android based smart phones in the range of Rs 3,500 to Rs 5,000,” he said.
“The company is planning to set up an assembly line with an outlay of Rs 100 crore in the Hardware Park near the new international airport. We will assemble tablet PCs, LED TV (which will be priced aggressively), water dispensers and batteries. The knowhow will be from Chinese partners,” he said.
As far as the pricing of the new two tablets are concerned, the 7-inch Bluemax tablet is priced at Rs 5,500 and supports external USB dongle, while the other tablet is equipped with 2G SIM card slot and is priced at Rs 7,999.
