Celkon A40 RahmanIshq Smartphone With Shake and Transfer Feature Launched at Rs 5,999
In a press event held in Ahmadabad, Celkon launched the A40 smartphone in the RahmanIshq series at Rs. 5,999. Earlier this month, the Hyderabad based mobile phone manufacturer also launched the A45 and AR50 smartphones in the same series.
The AR40 comes with a 4.0-inch capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM. It runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.2.2.
The device also features a 3.2MP auto focus rear camera and a front-facing VGA shooter. Moreover when it comes to connectivity options, it includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Apart from that, live every other Indian handsets, this one also features a Dual SIM support with Dual Standby.
It houses 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card.
It also comes pre-loaded with AR Rahman's chartbusters and a special tune created for the Rahmanishq Music Smartphones, similar to the AR45 and the A50.
The handset draws its energy from a 1500 mAh battery and comes with several features like Shake and Transfer, which enables users to transfer data by shaking the phone, Interactive gaming and also supports FOTA (firmware over the air) update.

The Celkon AR40 can be expected to be available at all leading retail outlets across India by end of October.
Talking about competition, the handset is going to face a hardcore rivalry against devices like Karbonn A12+, Lava Iris 402, Lava Iris 405, Micromax Canvas Fun A63, XOLO A500S among others.
