Processor, RAM and Storage
Although the Celkon Campus A35K is powered by latest Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS, it cannot fully take advantage of it because it comes with an unmatched processor . To be precise, a single core CPU clocked at 1Ghz might be reasonable bargain at Rs. 3,000 but it can't do justice to the latest version of the OS that it uses.
As expected the RAM is also pretty lowly clocked at 256MB RAM. Also very minimally offered is the internal storage which is seated at 512MB. Thankfully, the company has offered an expandable option providing microsSD card slot.
As of now, Android apps are also getting bigger and bigger, and so it is hard to run it on a device powered by so less RAM and storage unit. But again, you can assume that the device is basically meant for the less-than-average smartphone users.
However, despite all the oddities, when using the demo unit of the Campus A35K, the device was , pretty smooth. Although, we didn't have the chance to check out the gaming and other features, we did find that the UI is pretty neat and is very rich in terms of swipes and slides.
We will get you a full-on review of the power and processor along with the benchmark scores of the handset in a short while, in our review.
