Cheapest Cell Phones And From Xenitis
Launching the cheapest models of and mobile hand sets in India, Chairman and Managing Director of Xenitis Group Santanu Ghosh today announced that cellular phones priced as low as Rs 499 will hit the markets this August.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Ghosh said that the four models of mobile sets were priced between Rs 499 and Rs 2,000. While claiming that these handsets were the lowest priced handsets in India, Mr Ghosh said the company has already bagged orders for supply of 1,60,000 mobile handsets a month, out of which 50,000 will be exported to Dubai and West Asia.
Stating that the newly launched range of sets would be the cheapest in India, Mr Ghosh also claimed that this unit would be the first mobile set manufacturing unit in West Bengal. Furthermore, Xenitis has also launched the cheapest model(Xuva XC200) of laptop today, priced at as low as Rs 14,990.
"This added a jewel to the already exisiting range of cheap Xuva T14WN, which is priced at Rs 19,990," he added. This apart, Xenitis' Global Automobiles launched the 150 CC two-wheeler UFO 0150, which will hit the markets this June and will be priced at Rs 34990, Mr Ghosh said.
"Global Automobiles will be the first two-wheeler manufacturer in Eastern India," said Mr Ghosh while discussing the advantages of their new range of automobiles, cellular handsets and .
On this occasion, the chairman of the Xenitis Group also declared that an additional number of 650 people will be employed in the next six months. "Presently, we have 1,000 employees working in the 10-acre manufacturing unit," he added. "We are targeting at an annual turnover of Rs 2,000 crore in the next fiscal as against that of the last fiscal of Rs 1,000 crores," Mr Ghosh announced.
Furthermore, Xenitis has asked the state government for another 10 acres of land for the expansion of their company and announced to invest Rs 430 crore in the next six months.
After the launch of the mobile sets, and scooters at Sugandha in Chunchura sub-division of the district, a six-member State Assembly Standing Committee on Commerce and Industry, led by MLA Sudip Bandhopadhyay, visited the factory here.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bandhopadhyay said the manufacturing unit here was developing well and the other states should take its example to develop such units in their states as well. Arambagh MP Anil Basu was also present on the occasion.
