The number of Indian companies that are gradually coming up to the smartphone business scenario are on a constant growth. We have the likes of Micromax, Karbonn and others releasing smartphones almost everyday. Now it seems like native mobile maker Celkon will get into the act with a brand new Moto E competitor of its own.
As revealed to GizBot via internal sources related to it, Celkon is all set to introduce a brand new Android smartphone dubbed as Celkon A35k on June 16.
As far as specs details are concerned, the information isn't much. However, the phone is said to sport a 3.5-inch screen, 3G video calling and will run on the latest Android KitKat operating system.
Apparently, as confirmed by our sources, who have also shared with GizBot the image shown above, Celkon A35k will cost around Rs. 2,999. Which means it will be a KitKat smartphone at the price of a feature phone.
Sadly enough, that's all the information our source could reveal to us for the moment. However, expect more to develop on the Celkon A35k with the time frame of the device slowly heading our way.
The phone, if indeed it arrives with the above stated price tag, will create massive problems for the likes of Moto E, Micromax Canvas Engage and the Micromax Unite 2 A106. That's because none of the devices offer their devices in such a less price tag.
Celkon Mobiles is primarily based in Hyderabad and is involved in the development of mobile phone solutions and wireless technologies. It's currently India's sixth-largest mobile handsets company with all its mobiles and tablet PCs assembled in Taiwan and China.
