"Also, we are working on building a new UI for our upcoming smartphone range." Apart from that the big thing is the fact that Celkon wants to be the category leader in low-end smartphone segment by providing unique and advanced level features to this segment users.

We're also informed that Celkon plans to launch the Windows Phone device by the end of August 2014 and he confirmed that it will be priced lesser than Rs. 10,000. However, apart from that he didn't reveal anything else about the phone.

Since there are hardly any players in the Indian market as far as the Windows Phone devices are concerned, Celkon's move of coming up with one such device might help the company to strengthen its foothold in the market.

Regarding the company's low-end smartphones' popularity, Y. Pradeep, Head-Digital Management, Celkon Mobiles told GizBot that the A35K (the cheapest KitKat Phone in the country), which was launched last month has been selling even better in other markets like Zimbabwe and the company holds some aggressive strategies to steal the market share in India from competing brands like Swipe, Spice and others.
