LG first introduced its most talked about flagship handset, the G3, with much fanfare in May this year. The global roll out of the phone is underway, and pretty soon the device will reach Indian shores. Our trusted sources over at LG have confirmed that the company will officially launch its G3 handset sometime in the middle of July.
At the same time, GizBot also got to know that there is a big event planned in Mumbai, India's financial capital. More sources have confirmed to GizBot about a possible launch of the LG G3 around July 25. "It is going to be a big event for LG," revealed a company insider.
LG G Watch Indian Debut Around the Corner
Additionally, LG will also launch its G Watch, the first Android Wear-powered device, alongside the G3 at the same Mumbai-based event. Notably, the LG G Watch is already up for pre-order at Rs. 14,999 via the Google Play Store. Users can pre-book the intelligent watch but it will not ship before July 8. Although it is unknown at this point of time, whether the G Watch will be made available via retail chains, including Croma and Reliance Digital as well. Watch this space for more action!
LG G3 Mini India Launch Confirmed
Rumors have been exceptionally strong that LG could announce the miniature version of the G3 handset shortly. Now, our trusted source has also confirmed that the LG G3 Mini is real, and could launch in Q3/Q4 2014.
"We're not 100 % confirmed about the exact launch date, but the device should reach India in Q4 2014," confirmed the company source. The source also added that the G3 Mini will be similar to the just announced "Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini" in terms of hardware. The handset is expected to sport a smaller screen size, plus it will also feature similar design as seen in the LG G3.
Ongoing reports in China also claim that the LG G3 Beat (looks like the G3 Mini) comes with a 5-inch HD display a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, 8 MP camera, a 2 MP front-facing shooter, and a 2,450 mAh battery.
LG Affordable 4G LTE Handsets Coming to India
LG recently launched the F70 handset in India, sporting the latest Android Kitkat OS in India. The device is one among the few phones in the country with 4G LTE connectivity under Rs. 20,000. The same source has also exclusively told that LG is prepping to launch one more LTE-enabled handset in India by August 2014. The upcoming handset should be affordable, like the F70.
