Microsoft, the company which has recently acquired Nokia is currently trying to get ahead of Motorola to launch mid-range handset range in India. This can be said as GizBot has got to know from multiple sources that Microsoft is all set to unveil Lumia 630 on the May 12th event and the company also plans to announce the retail availability of Nokia X+, XL on the same day. Which is, ahead of the Motorola Moto E launch, slated to happen on May 13 in a Delhi-based event.

Also we have got to know from our sources that Lumia 630 will hit shelves around May 15 priced anywhere between Rs. 12,000 - Rs. 13,000. Furthermore, Vodafone will offer 1GB of 3G data per month for next two months on Nokia Lumia 630 handset.

At the same time, GizBot also spotted the Nokia Lumia 630 (RM-978CV) in the shipment notification from Zauba and that a 4.5-inch inch Dual-SIM device handset is enroute on May 6. The price on Zauba is listed as Rs. 8,258 with the final price expected to be higher than this.

Looks like, Nokia has already started to import the device from China in different batches. In fact, as many as 4,120 units have been shipped to India so far. Simultaneously, the Nokia Lumia 630 has been listed on The Mobile Store under ‘coming soon' tag. As per the listing, the phone will be made available in a variety of colors including Black, Green, White, Yellow, and Orange.

What about Nokia XL and X+?

Other than the Nokia Lumia 630, the source revealed that the company will introduce the Nokia XL and the X+ in the same event along with the pricing. Nokia XL, which has a large 5-inch display, could be priced between Rs. 12,000 - Rs. 13,000 and it will also hit stores around May 15.

GizBot has also been informed that Nokia X+ might come priced somewhere between Rs. 8,000 - Rs. 9,000. Nokia has started to import the X+ in India from China.

According to recent shipment information (dated May 6) from the Zauba website, Nokia shipped 500 units of the X+ Dual SIM with model number RM-1053 NV. Each unit costs Rs. 6,889, and will therefore be an entry-level handset.

Nokia Lumia 630- Highlighted Specs

The Nokia Lumia 630, which was originally, announced at Microsoft's Build conference, sports a 4.5-inch display ( 854 x 480), a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a 5MP rear-facing camera , and an 1830mAh battery fitted inside. The phone runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS.
