From a new, smaller Apple iPhone to the very innovative LG G5 to the Samsung Galaxy S7 that redefines class to the high powerful Xiaomi Mi5, there have been many smartphone launches that happened in the year so far. Now that we are about to mark an end March, to welcome April, we look forward to more power coming to the smartphone world.

In April 2016, we are looking forward to the release of a bunch of specs-heavy, aggressively priced smartphones with super cool features and interesting designs. The month is going to be quite happening, to keep the momentum going for the geeks.

Xiaomi is all set to launch the Mi5 in India on March 31st, however the company plans to unveil the Pro version, donning ceramic back panel, of the Mi5 in April. As per the company's plan for April, the Mi5 Pro will be launched on April 6 in China, which should soon be followed by its availability in India, considering that India is an important market for the company. The Mi5 has garnered appraises for its specs-set and design. It has been touted as a killer smartphone will immense power, however it will face tough competition from the upcoming rival smartphones.

Huawei's upcoming P9 smartphone is not really a phone about which we don't know much. The phone has often been spotted in leaked images, and several reports that have somewhat confirmed its specs, before its official launch. Set to be unveiled on April 6 in China, the Huawei P9 is rumored to be powered by a Kirin 950 chipset and sport a 5.2-inch 1080p screen. This will be another specs-heavy beast that is expected to be making its way to India in April.

Looks like April 6 is going to be a maddening day for geeks. Besides, Huawei and Xiaomi, Chinese smartphone company Meizu also plans to launch its next smartphone on the same date. The company is expected to launch the M3 Note, which will be the successor to the m2 Note, as the said event. This will be another budget smartphone that is expected to have a 5.5-inch full HD display, MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB/ 32GB in built storage and more. Chinese handset maker, Oppo has officially announced the releasing the date of R9 and R9 Plus smartphone in India. The company has not exactly revealed the name of the products to be launched, but is it highly expected to reveal the R9 and R9 Plus smartphones at the said event. As per the company, the Oppo flagship will be launched at an event in India on April 5. The Oppo R9 has a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, whereas the R9 Plus has a 6-inch display. These are touted as camera phones with 16MP front cameras with 78.1-degree wide-angle lens and an f/2.0 aperture on the Plus and a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash, with an f/2.2 aperture on the R9.

HTC chose to skip CES and MWC to unveil its much talked about and awaited flagship smartphone, the One M10. After much wait, the company finally rolled out invites for the launch of its latest flagship smartphone - the HTC 10 - on April 12th. The company seems to be planning to drop the 'M' moniker for its series, for it could probably be thinking of refreshing the range of products this year.

Rumored have it that Meizu is working on the Pro 6 to take on it arch rival Xiaomi's Mi5 Pro. Though Meizu has not confirmed the launch of the phone yet, going by the recent reports it seems that the launch of the phone is imminent. The key highlight of the phone is the presence of 6GB RAM under the hood, as suggested by leaked information.

Micromax's sub-brand, Yu is prepping a successor of the Yureka Plus smartphone, with codename YU5200. The officially provided model number and it specs details have been revealed with its listing on the Indian import/export site Zauba. It is believed to be having a 5.2-inch screen, 4G connectivity and Dual SIM support. The site also mentions its pricing to be Rs 9,036, which means that the phone might get launched for below Rs 10,000.

LG hogged all limelight with the launch of the G5 smartphone at the MWC in February. The company introduced the phone with a very innovative and interesting swappable bottom panel design. Though LG has not confirmed the launch of the LG G5, it is expected to get launched in April. The phone doesn't only pack in a removable bottom panel design but is also loaded with high end specifications. We look forward to get our hands on this beauty sooner than later!

At the MWC 2016, Sony skipped to launch the new Xperia Z smartphone to unveil a new series of smartphones. The company took the wraps off Xperia XPerformance, X, and XA smartphones, with the XP being the most premium. This new smartphone lineup is said to replace the old Xperia Z smartphones, though the company is yet to make an official announcement on that. Sony recently showcased these smartphones to its distributers in India at its annual conference held in Delhi, which could mean its launch to happen soon in India.

The much talked about smaller and cheaper iPhone, the Apple iPhone SE, finally got launched on March 21st. The company is now all set to launch the smartphone in India in April. This is a 4-inch Apple smartphone that is based on the design of the iPhone 5S, and packs in features and specs of the iPhone 6S. It is expected to be priced at Rs 39,000 in India.
