The launch date for the upcoming device from Apple is approaching and rumors are already rife over the internet showcasing how the next iPhone flagship will look like.

Traditionally, Apple releases an iPhone in the fall of each year and this continues to be the same with this year's iPhone as well.

There are many rumors regarding the smartphone till date and some of them are from reliable sources. However, we need to take some of them with a pinch of salt, as all the leaks and rumors may not cut into the final version of the smartphone.

That said, Apple is reportedly said to be planning to launch three new iPhones this year - the Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and a bigger and better iPhone Pro.

iPhone 7 Design

As per a couple of leaked images from nowhereelse, there isn't much change in terms of design when compared to the iPhone 6S. The Antenna bands on the rear of the smartphone are now gone and the camera bump has been slightly reduced. The only question is that- 'How thin will be the iPhone 7.' Though, there are no leaks regarding the profile of the smartphone, but certainly, it will be slimmer than the iPhone 6S as Apple is trying to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in favour of the lightning port.

No headphone Jack

In a recent rumor, the sources say that Apple is removing the famous 3.5mm jack and compensate the device with the lightning cable port for both charging and headphones usage. The same was confirmed by a leaked image of the Apple Earpods with the lightning cable jack. However, Apple might also provide a converter for the lightning cable jack to the 3.5mm jack as seen with the Moto Z Series of smartphones.

Dual Rear Camera Setup for the iPhone 7 Plus

At the start of 2016, there are many rumors saying that the elder sibling of the iPhone 7 might come with a dual-rear camera. A picture of the dual camera part was released with the part number as '821'. There are no other leaks regarding this dual camera setup for the iPhone 7 Plus.

Smart Connector

Some of the schematic designs released in May 2016 suggested that Apple will be releasing a new iPhone with better internals and support for Smart Connector. The new iPhone will be dubbed as 'iPhone Pro' with Smart Connector to connect with accessories such as Smart Keyboard. However, since then there is no word regarding this from any sources. A couple of latest leaks suggested that the iPhone 7 Plus itself might come with a Smart Connector port.

Upgraded innards

The iPhone 6S came with an Apple A9 chipset along with 2GB of RAM. A leak suggests that the 2016 Apple iPhone flagship will come with upgraded Apple A10 chipset along with support for 2GB of RAM. There might be a possibility that the iPhone 7 Plus will ship with 3GB of RAM.

Same Battery as its Predecessor

The iPhone 7 might ship with the same battery capacity as the iPhone 6. An image leaked over the internet shows that the iPhone 7 battery capacity lists as 7.04 watt-hours which are a minor update from 7.01 watt-hours on iPhone 6. The battery capacity on the iPhone 6S is 6.61 watt-hours, which is a decrease from the iPhone 6. There is no information on what battery capacity will iPhone 7 Plus boasts of.

Storage Space:

This leak will come as a blessing for many and disguise for some. Apple is apparently dropping the 16GB base model for the iPhone 7. The base model is now reportedly said to be the 32GB variant, which was asked by many iPhone lovers. That said, the same rumor also popped out before the launch of iPhone 6S and the 6S Plus, but Apple announced the 16GB variants. We advise you to take this leak with a pinch of salt as Apple might or might not announce the 16GB variants.

Wireless Earpods on the Way?

There are many speculations milling over the internet about the iPhone 7 headphone jack port. Apple might remove the standard 3.5mm jack favouring the lighting cable port. This might pave its way for the manufacturing of ‘Wireless Earpods' as users can only use the smartphone for only one purpose- charging or listening music. A rumor revealed the same as Apple is in works on manufacturing Wireless Earpods and they will bundle within the manufacturing box, thanks to Apple.

iPhone 7 to Come in Five Colors

Yesterday, there was a leak regarding the color variants of the iPhone 7. The upcoming iPhone 7 is reported to come in five colors- grey, tyrant gold, blue, rose gold, and possibly space black. There were some rumors earlier saying that the iPhone 7 series will come in a 'Space Black' colored variant and yesterday's leak clearly shows five color variants of the smartphone.

iPhone 7 Release date

The popular tipster, Evan Blass, in a recent post, said that the Apple iPhone 7 will be launching in the week of September 12. This might be true as the iPhone 6S and the 6S Plus were launched in the month of September last year.
