Unless you've been living under a rock, you'd be aware of the fact that BlackBerry, the Canadian tech giant had long stopped making smartphones. But a rumour had been circulating online since June claiming that one last BlackBerry branded smartphone is incoming.
Rumoured to be called the BlackBerry Mercury (BBB100-1), the smartphone had been spotted on GeekBench listing as well. Putting an end to all the rumours about this mysterious device, John Chen, the company's CEO had confirmed the existence of a QWERTY phone.

Octa-core 2.02GHz processor
In terms of hardware, the smartphone is expected to come with an octa-core 2.02GHz unidentified chipset (Qualcomm likely) along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space.
Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box
As per the rumours, the smartphone should run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. But, it remains to be seen if it actually does when it's launched.
Camera and Other features
As per the leaked images, the smartphone has a front facing camera and a proximity sensor flanked on either side of the earpiece. As far the pixel count is concerned, the smartphone will have an 18MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. A 3,400mAh battery is speculated to provide the juice for the device.
