Following the launch of the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, rumors of new 4 inch iPhone surfaced online, reportedly targeting the launch in the first half of 2016.
Rumors claim that Apple will launch its 4-inch iPhone sometime in March 2016. We have heard many rumors that Apple may release a cheaper and smaller 4-inch iPhone, dubbed as iPhone 5se, which was earlier said to be named as iPhone 6c.
We have compiled all the rumors, new and old, and also what we expect from the Apple iPhone 5se, read on to know more.
A powerful processor
As a budget, it is not expected that iPhone 5se to match the latest iPhone 6s, but we hope it will have the performance close to the iPhone 6s. Current rumors points out that the iPhone 5se will be powered by A8 processor instead of current A9 chip used in iPhone 6s.
To make affordable, Apple replaced the premium metal and glass builds with a colorful plastic shell in iPhone 5c. The built was solid, but it looks far less premium or stylish than other Apple iPhones. We would love that the rumored iPhone 5se to come with a premium design.
The iPhone 5c is 9mm thick and we expect to see the iPhone 5se to be around 6.9mm thick like the iPhone 6.
Apple launched iPhone 5s with Touch ID, but the 5c lacked it. We hope Apple will include the Touch ID in the budget version of iPhone. Thankfully, the inclusion of Touch ID has already been rumored.
It is highly expected that the iPhone 5se will have a 4-inch display, but it is not officially confirmed yet, but many rumors hints the same.
The iPhone 5c was initially sold in several storage sizes, but it is now just available in 8GB variant. Well, Apple iPhone don't have any option to expand storage, so we expect that the iPhone 5se to have 16GB of built-in storage as minimum.
Very few phones last as long as we want. The iPhone 5c had a good battery life, but still the phone need to be charged every night. So we would like to see the iPhone 5se to have a longer battery life.
The iPhone 5c was designed to be a comparatively a budget option, but it wasn't and now the rumored iPhone 5se is expected to be truly affordable.
Rumors in the past, suggested that the iPhone 5se would launch alongside the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. More recently, the iPhone 5se has been tipped to launch at an event in March 2016 alongside the Apple Watch 2.
Rumors suggest that the 4 inch iPhone could be priced between $400 and $500 in the United States.
