Asus Zenfone Max Launched at Rs 9,999: These 5 Rivals Will Face The Heat
Asus launched the upgraded version of the best-selling smartphone Zenfone Max in India today. The boasts stylish looks and it is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that will be long lasting.
Zenfone Max comes in two variants - 2 GB RAM and 3 GB RAM priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively. The 2 GB RAM variant can be pre-ordered on Flipkart and the 3 GB RAM model can be pre-ordered on Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal and at Asus exclusive stores.

Talking of specs, the Zenfone Max flaunts a 5.5-inch HD 720p IPS display with Asus TruVivid Technology and full-screen lamination. The Bluelight Filter for Eye Care will protect the user's eyes from any sort of strain during extended usage.
It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC and there is 32 GB of onboard storage space that can be expanded up to 64 GB using a micro SD card. There is a 13 MP main snapper with dual LED flash and PixelMaster 2.0 technology
The front facing 5 MP sensor features 85-degree wide viewing angle. The device is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow that is topped with ZenUI. The 5,000 mAh battery within the Zenfone Max is long lasting with 37.5 hours of talk time. Below are some rivals of the smartphone that will give a tough competition to it.
Samsung Galaxy J7 priced at Rs 15,990
The Galaxy J7 (2016) bestows a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED LCD HD 720p display just on the Zenfone Max. It is equipped with a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor and it comes in two variants. One has 16 GB of storage space and 2 GB RAM and the other has 32 GB of storage space and 3 GB RAM.

It is given an expandable storage space can support up to 12 8 GB. There is a 13 MP main sensor with LED Flash and autofocus and a 5 MP selfie shooter with a front facing LED flash. The other aspects include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi hotspot, and GPS and a 3,300 mAh battery.
Moto G4's price is yet to be announced
Moto G4 is given a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Moto G4 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC that is paired with 16 GB and 32 GB storage options and 2 GB RAM.
The expandable storage support on board the Moto G4 is 128 GB of expandable storage. There is a 13 MP main camera with autofocus and dual LED flash and a 5 MP selfie shooter with auto-HDR and f/2.2 aperture.
With a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery, the Moto G4 is a decent phone with a good level of backup.
LeEco Le 1s Eco costs Rs 9,999
The LeEco Le 1s Eco features a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device makes use of a 1.85 octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor with 32 GB internal storage capacity and 3 GB RAM. There is no support for expandable storage capacity.
The camera details on the LeEco phone include a 13 MP main snapper with autofocus and a front-facing 5 MP shooter for selfies. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port for charging.
Xiaomi Redmi Mi 3 priced costs Rs 11,999
The Redmi Mi 3 boasts a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display with scratch protection that is sharp enough and the Sunlight Display feature. It has an hexa-core Snapdragon 801 processor along with 2 GB and 3 GB RAM. There is 16 GB storage support for expansion.

Based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped with MIUI 7, this Xiaomi phone has a 16 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5 MP front-facer. A 4,000 mAh battery powers this smartphone giving a good backup.
Micromax Canvas Evok costs Rs 8,499
The new Micromax Canvas Evok is based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS and it flaunts a 5.5-inch display with HD screen resolution and there is 2.5D glass on the front. Canvas Evok uses a 1.4 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 415 SoC teamed up with 3 GB of RAM.
It has 16 GB of native storage space and there is a 3,000 mAh battery that is quite enough to get a day of backup. The smartphone includes a 13 MP main camera with autofocus as well as 5P Largan Lens. There is a 5 MP front-facer on board and the device supports 4G LTE.
