For those unaware the Chinese smartphone brand launched the Redmi Note 3 a month back. Xiaomi however made a new statement this time around by replacing their successful mid-range phablet Note 2 within a few months of launch.

Thankfully though Xiaomi didn't tinker much with internal hardware specs. Instead the SoC, display and camera were carried over from the Redmi Note 2 (Review), with the mere additions being a Metal body, Fingerprint scanner and larger RAM (3GB from the 2GB).

After much delay Xiaomi eventually launched a second edition of the Mi Pad 2 in China alongside the Redmi Note 3. Surprisingly the Chinese smartphone brand launch a Windows 10 version of the Mi Pad 2 alongside the MIUI 7 topped Android one.

It's however worth noting only the 64GB version of the Mi Pad 2 is compatible of running Windows 10. Furthermore the tablet doesn't come running Windows 10 out of the box, instead Xiaomi will be providing a separate Windows ROM along with an instruction manual on their official forum soon.Mi Pad 2 specifications:

Xiaomi flagship smartphone for 2014 has been carried over to 2015 thanks to the delay in the launch of the Mi5. However that doesn't make the Mi4 a device not worth buying.
