Five Reasons You Should Update Your iPhone or iPad to iOS 10 Soon
Typically, Apple releases its latest iteration of an operating system - iOS to public a week after the official launch of its new iPhone every year.
With the launch of the Cupertino-based tech giant's new iPhone around the corner, we've created a list of 5 features which will make you want the iOS 10 soon.
Smarter Siri
Apple has finally opened up Siri to the third-party app developers for the first time. Through the SiriKit SDK in iOS 10, developers can offer new abilities to Siri making it smarter than ever before. For example, you can simply book an Uber by asking Siri without even opening the Uber app or search for specific photos from the photos app or simply send messages by asking Siri to do so.
Rich Notifications
The lock screen in iOS 10 has got a complete overhaul of sorts. Apple gets rid of the iconic "slide to unlock feature" and creates space for a side panel accommodating Widgets(something which has been there in Android for long now). Also, you can view photos and reply to texts directly without even leaving the lock screen.
Advanced Photos app
The photos app in iOS 10 now uses deep learning algorithms and facial and object recognition techniques thereby grouping images of similar kind eventually, allowing users to search for images by its kind. For example, you can simply search for the images featuring a car or some other specific information to retrieve all the images with the given information. Another important addition is the Memories tab which recognises images based on date and location to create a small video of relevant images with background music.
Overhauled iMessage app
In addition to Siri, Apple has also opened up iMessage to third-party app developers as well. As a result, you can expect lots of new applications to use along with the iMessage app to give your messages a different look. With the iOS 10, Apple also allows support for rich links, meaning you can see a preview version of websites right from the messages app. Additionally, it also allows you to send images with animated backgrounds, invisible ink, bubble effect, handwritten messages, etc.
Deletable pre-installed apps
With the iOS 10, Apple finally allows you to delete stock apps which you don't need to free some storage space. These apps will be available in the App Store free of cost and you can re-download these deleted apps from the App Store whenever you want them.
