Gionee M6 and M6 Plus now official: 5 Tough Rivals in battle ground

Gionee took the wraps off its flagship smartphones, namely the M6 and M6 Plus at an event held in China. The Gionee M6 and M6 Plus are essentially the successor to the last year's M5 and M5 Plus smartphone that boast powerful battery.

Speaking of the specs and features of these smartphones, both the M6 and the M6 Plus come with similar features, but vary mainly in terms of size and battery capacity. The M5 sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, whereas the M6 Plus features a bigger display at 6-inch with same resolution.

With a 6-inch display, the bigger variant of the Gionee M6 will be competing against the likes of LeEco Le Max 2 which also dons a big display and packs in powerful specifications. Whereas, it's smaller variant, the M6 will be competing against the OnePlus 3 which also boasts powerful specs, though a smaller display.

Gionee M6 and M6 Plus now official: 5 Tough Rivals

Let's first take a quick look at the specs of the Gionee M6 and M6 Plus smartphones. Both the devices are powered by Helio P10 octa-core processor, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded using microSD card. It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera.

The USP of these phones is battery. The M6 has 5,000mAh non-removable battery, while the 6-inch M6 Plus has a 6,020mAh battery. Both phone house fingerprint sensor, USB Type C pin and offer dual SIM with 4G VoLTE support. The Gionee M6 will be available from August 6th and the M6 Plus from August 13th in China.
