What is Project Tango?
Project Tango is built around augmented reality and Lenovo Phab 2 pro will be the world's commercial model based on Google Tango. It is Google's dream of weird and innovative products in mobile technology.
As Google say, Tango lets you see more of your world. Just hold up your Tango powered device, and watch as virtual objects and information appear on top of your surroundings.
What’s it capable of
Project Tango gives Phab 2 the power to track your surroundings and then display content that looks like it's right in front of you. All thanks to augmented reality, the smartphone will allow you to visualize what's not there to have a richer, deeper experience to explore and enjoy. With Lenovo Phab 2, it will be possible for you to navigate stores, museums and other indoor locations, with directions overlaid onto your surroundings.
No need of a Virtual Reality device
The USP of Tango enabled Lenovo Phab 2 is that you don't need a Virtual reality device to experience the augmented reality with the smartphone. Google says that all you have to do is look through the Phab 2 Pro, and you'll see objects and information overlaid onto the real world. Sounds cool.
Innovative real-world applications
The Tango powered Lenovo Phab 2 will support real-world applications like Lowe's Home Improvement- to view through your phone and place items anywhere in your home, Phantogeist- simulator level gaming experience right through your smartphone, Woorld- a real-life learning platform to create a miniature virtual world inside your own home.
Loaded with specifications
Lenovo Phab 2 will offer the best of two worlds. There will be 6.40inch Quad HD IPS display, 4GB RAM, an octa-core chipset, 16 MP rear camera, 8 MP front camera, 4,050mAh battery unit, Dolby Atmos audio all tucked in an aluminum uni-body.
