Honor is all set to launch a new smartphone in the market. The alleged smartphone dubbed Honor 5C was spotted clearing TENAA earlier this week in China.
The certification has leaked many if not all specs of the upcoming budget device from Huawei. Next up the phone is expected to clear the 3C certification and finally be unveiled on April 28. Expect Honor to bring this phone to its international markets including India.
Just like the recently unveiled Honor 5X, the all new smartphone from the makers of Huawei come with a metal unibody design. While the front dons the Honor logo, the rear plate sports a 13MP camera module along with LED flash and a Fingerprint Sensor.
On the front the Honor 5C sports a 5.2 inch Full HD display upfront. Expect Huawei to include a decent panel in their mid-range smartphone. Apparently Honor 5X had an excellent display for its price tag.
Huawei 5C is reported to be powered by a brand new Kirin 650 octa core chip with each core clocked at 2GHz each. The mid-range Kirin chip can be compared with Snapdragon 616, but it isn't as powerful as the Snapdragon 652.
The main area of concern with the Honor 5C is its RAM. Unlike other mid-range smartphones equipped with at least 3GB of RAM, the Honor 5C opts for just 2GB. While this mightn't effect the performance of the device drastically, but it still makes it less future proof than its competitors. Apart from the RAM, the Honor 5C comes with 16GB of onboard storage space and a MicroSD card slot (upto 128GB).
The Honor 5C is well equipped in the camera department too. It comes with 13MP rear camera module equipped with an LED Flash. Besides that, the smartphone also boasts of a 8MP selfie snapper upfront which is capable of shooting wide angle shots.
To power the Honor 5C is non-removable 2900mAh Li-Poly battery. Despite including a modestly large battery on the inside, Honor has made their smartphone decisively slim which measures at 147.1x73.8x8.3 mm.
