Huawei's sub brand Honor is all set to launch the company's latest smartphone- Honor 8 in India this October. Honor 8 will be company's flagship offering in India for 2016 and is expected to be priced around Rs 27,000 in the Indian market.

While, the company has not yet officialy confirmed the exact specifications of the handset, much is already known about the hardware that powers the smartphone.

Huawei recently launched company's flagship handset-P9, which impressed us with its Leica powered dual-camera setup. Honor 8 also utlises the same technology and boasts a dual-camera setup (12+12MP). However, unlike the P9, Honor 8 comes fitted with Sony sensors. One sensor captures the monochrome shades and the other captures the colour information. Post that, the camera combines the both and produce a single image.

For selfies, Honor 8 offers an 8MP camera.

Honor 8 is entirely built out of metal and glass and looks quite premium. The handset has 2.5D curved glass on front and back that seamlesaly blends into the side metal frame.

Despite an all metal and glass construction, Honor 8 does not easily slip from hands. Besides, the smartphone is quite compact and can be easily used with one hand.

The smartphone will run on Android Marshmallow operating system and will come loaded with the company's own Emotion UI 4.1 interface.

As we mentioned that the exact specifications are not yet confirmed, but we believe the handset that will hit the Indian market will come powered by Huawei's in-house Kirin 950 chipset. There will be 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded by up to128GB via microSD card slot.

Honor 8 will integrate a fingerprint sensor at the back that can be used to unlock the handset, accept/reject calls, click pictures and check notifications.

The smartphone is believed to be powered by a 3,000mAh battery equipped with Fast charging.

During the selected media showcase of Honor 8, Huawei also revealed company's plans to launch the first 'Make in India' smartphone in the month of October.
