HTC Nexus Marlin's leaked photo suggests HTC 10 like design: 7 Key Rumored Specs
Rumor is rife that Google is prepping two new Nexus smartphones for 2016. However, this year the company will be launching the Nexus 2016 in partnership with HTC. Rumors so far have suggested their codenames to be Sailfish and Marlin, and have given us a few details about possible specifications of these.
Today, a new photo of the alleged Nexus Marlin has surfaced online, suggesting that the phone will have a few design elements picked from HTC's latest flagship, called the HTC 10.

Here is what all have rumors suggested about the upcoming HTC Nexus Marlin smartphone!
HTC 10-like Design:
As per the leaked images, the phone will not have hardware navigation controls on its front, as is usually the case with the Nexus smartphones. It will have a plain, clean-looking front. In terms of design, the phone will feature a glass panel which will be rounded off at the edges, with a metal frame making the rest of the body, giving it the HTC 10 like look. The front may or may not have stereo speakers.
Big Display:
The Marine is expected to be a bigger display smartphone, donning a 5.5-inch screen. It is likely to come with QHD resolution with 2560×1440 pixels, considering that the current generation Nexus phones also feature QHD display.

Nougat flavoured:
A recently leaked real-life picture of an alleged Marlin unit suggested that the phone will be shipped with Android 7.0 Nougat, which was unveiled recently by Google. The new version of the Android will brings new features, improvements and bug fixes.
Chipset and RAM:
It is expected that the upcoming Nexus smartphone wil be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is seen powering most of the new generation flagship smartphones from top tier as well as Chinese smartphone companies. HTC Marlin is likely to have 4GB of RAM, though nothing can be confirmed as of now.
8MP selfie camera:
If the rumors turn out to be true, the Nexus Marlin will flaunt a 12MP rear camera paired with an 8MP front-facing snapper for the selfie enthusiasts.

Fingerprint sensor:
The phone will feature a fingerprint sensor placed right under the camera, as was seen on the last year's Nexus smartphones. The fingerprint sensor will help in better security of the content on the Nexus phone.
A big battery:
Rumors also have it that the upcoming HTC Marlin smartphone will be powered by a 3450mAh battery, supported with quick charge technology for fast charging and battery saving mode.
