November 26 Event Teased
There are many rumors saying that the Huawei will announce the Mate 8 this month. Several reports claims different release date. However, according to a Chinese blog, Mobile Dad, Huawei has teased its upcoming event on November 26, where the company is expected to hold an launch event of the Mate 8.
Designed To Rival iPhone 6s
Late in July, a Chinese website leaked image of the so-called Mate 8. At the first look, it looked like the Mate 8 has the similar design as the Honor 7. The leaked image shows that the rumored Mate 8's display has very thin bezels, and features a fingerprint scanner on the back. Further, several reports claims that the smartphone to feature a more durable design, to rival iPhone 6s and the Google Nexus 6P.
The Huawei Mate 8 is expected to features a 6 inch Quad-HD display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The display is rumored to have Force Touch sensitivity similar to the iPhone 6s 3D Touch display.
15 megapixel rear camera
The latest benchmark test reveals that the smartphone will carry a 15 megapixel camera on the back and a 5 or 8 megapixel front-facing camera. Under the hood, the Huawei Mate 8 is rumored to be powered its very own 64-bit HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor clocked at 2.4GHz using four Cortex A72 cores and four A53 core and paired with Mail T-880 GPU.
