The American-based company, Infocus has launched its latest smartphone in the Indian market, dubbed as M680. This device comes under the mid-range section with decent processor and other specifications.

Moreover, this device is the successor of the InFocus M535 with enhanced display and camera resolutions, which was launched back in November. Also, the company claims that the M680 will receive an Android Marshmallow update in the future. Additionally, the Country Head, InFocus India, Sachin Thapar added that it has expanded service centres across 125+ cities in India.

Coming in Gold and Silver color variant, the Infocus M680 will be available exclusively on the e-retailer Snapdeal at a price of Rs. 10,999 starting from 21st December. Additionally, the first 2000 buyers will get a selfie-stick worth Rs. 1,000 as a goodie.

In this specs range, the Infocus M680 directly falls in line with the HTC Desire 828 Dual SIM, which was launched in India last week. The HTC Desire 828 dual sim comes in Dark Gray and Pearl White colours and is priced at Rs. 19,990.

Coming to the display, both the smartphones comes with 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. While, the Infocus M680 display is protected with AUO with Tempered Glass, HTC's Desire 828 model lacks screen protection.

In terms of display quality, Infocus M680 is a head of HTC Desire 828!

While both the mobile shares the same Octa-Core CPU from MediaTek, the specifications of the chipset varies along with the GPU. The Infocus device comes with MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU and on the other hand, the HTC smartphone comes with MediaTek 6753T 64-bit processor with Mali-T760 GPU.

Here, the M680 equals the Desire 828 eventhough both has minor variations.

In this department, both the smartphones comes with same storage option with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM under the panel. Anyhow, the expansion option varies up to 64GB for M680 and 2TB for Desire 828 Dual Sim.

Moving on to the software, both the devices comes shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop with their respective UI on top.

The Infocus M680 flaunts a 13MP auto focus camera on both front and back with f/2.2 aperture, Samsung 3M2 sensor, 1080p video recording. On the other hand, the Desire 828 Dual SIM opts for a Ultrapixel front-facing camera and an 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, BSI sensor, 1080p video recording.

The Infocus M680 houses a 2600mAh battery, the HTC Desire 828 is powered by a 2800mAh battery under the panel. However, the HTC smartphone comes with some extra features such as HTC BoomSound, Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers, Dolby Audio specifically for audiophiles.

Also, both the smartphones has 4G connectivity and supports both TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) for India.
