Recently, LeEco rolled out the EUI 5.8 upgrade as an OTA update for its second generation smartphones - Le 2 and Le Max 2 that were released in India in the last month. The EUI 5.8 is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and it measures around 471 MB in size.
The EUI 5.8 brings in a slew of improvements to these smartphones. Also, it adds many new features that are pretty useful and the overall user experience of the Le 2 and Le Max 2 will surely be enhanced with the EUI 5.8 update. Take a look at what's new with the update from below.
The update has fixed issues in which photos can not be taken when temperature is high, when the camera crushes after the system reboots, videos cannot be saved when taking 4K videos. Also, the photo taking option from the lock screen has been optimized.
The update brings in a new and updated music app with a refreshed UI. There are also more sorting options including sort by genre, name, albums, and time. These sorting options will ensure that the users find the track they need easily and quickly.
There is an equalizer as well that will give a better experience to the music buffs. Also, there are bug fixes such as delete playlist and setting an album cover from gallery.
Very large font size
To make text on the phone larger and more readable, the EUI 5.8 update gives users an option to select 'very large font size'.
With the EUI 5.8, users can make the phones more secure by enabling apps lock. This feature allows users to lock individual apps on their phone via a fingerprint or a passcode.
Save Data and Power
The EUI 5.8 brings an improved phone manager along with it that will offer more control over the data usage.
You can choose which apps should work on Wi-Fi and/or data. There is power saving management as well with additional functionality letting you optimize the battery usage.
Many times, users want to capture screenshot of the entire page and not just what is there on the screen. With the update, you can take long screenshots of webpages without depending on the method of clicking multiple screenshots and merging them together.
The EUI update fixes an issue in which a duplicate icon is created after any app is downloaded from the Play Store. Earlier when the second SIM card was inserted in the Le 2 or Le Max 2, it was shown as Card 2 instead of the carrier name. Now, the update has fixed this issue as well.
