The Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo has been busy of late as it was prepping to launch the ZUK Z2 under its sub-brand ZUK. Lately, many potential features of this smartphone came to the spotlight ahead of the device's launch.
Now, Lenovo has taken the wraps off the ZUK Z2 smartphone that is surely a powerhouse that is priced aggressively in the mid-range segment costing 1,799 Yuan that translates to approximately Rs 18,500.
The ZUK Z2 will be available in the Chinese market from next week, to be precise June 7th. Lenovo is yet to reveal about the global availability of this smartphone. Now that ZUK Z2 is official, take a look at the features of the smartphone.
2.5D glass on both sides gives a good feel
The ZUK Z2 features 2.5D glass on both sides of the smartphone making it look great. The device features self-learning thermostat Engine 2.0 tech that can help it predict heat and take the necessary treatment. This way, it can maintain a relatively constant temperature that makes it super cool.
Fingerprint recognition is nice
The Lenovo ZUK Z2 is integrated with the U-Touch 2.0 feature that makes use of push fingerprint recognition technology supporting HD fingerprint image matching technology. It has a self-learning algorithm to match fingerprints.

It can unlock the device faster with a recognition rate of 99.7 percent the more you use the ZUK Z2, claims the company. The fingerprint recognition is fast at 0.1 seconds. The U-Touch 2.0 function supports unlocking the phone even when your finger is wet be sweat or rain.
QHD screen is compact
The ZUK Z2 features a 5-inch Quad HD 1440p display that might sound small, but such small screens are the new trend as they pave way for one-handed operation. The big screens as in the other flagship smartphones are a pain point when it comes to holding the phone and using it with one hand.
ZUK Z2 is a powerhouse
The Lenovo ZUK Z2 is powered by a 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 820 processor from Snapdragon using the 14 nm technology. It is combined with Adreno 530 graphics that is claimed to increase the performance by 40 percent and reduce the power consumption by 40 percent as well. There is 64 GB storage space and 4 GB RAM under the hood of the ZUK Z2.
The device is energized by a 3,500 mAh battery despite its small footprint. This huge battery supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging to make sure the phone can last long. Furthermore, the lossless conversion engine 2.0 will help the ZUK Z2 determine all the unknown apps and the demanded performance to minimize the CPU power that will increase the standby time.
Camera is decent
Lenovo ZUK Z2 boasts a 13 MP rear snapper with ISOCELL sensor, f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, EIS, 5 physical lens, HDR and support to 4K video recording. Also, there is an 8 MP front-facing selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 78.9 wide angle lens.
USB Type-C included
The Lenovo ZUK Z2 comes with usually connectivity features such as Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and USB Type-C. There is dual-SIM support as well in this smartphone.

The smartphone is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and ZUK UI. This UI is super cool. It comes with many services that will enhance the user experience.
