Meizu U10 and U20 Announced: 6 Worthy Changes in the New Smartphones

Following the footsteps in Xiaomi, Meizu is also launching a good number of smartphones these days. And, the latest ones to arrive are the Meizu U10 and the Meizu U20.

Both the newly announced smartphones are under the company's Bluecharm series and features a metal frame along with glass on both front and back.

The Meizu U10 is the lower version of the both as the name itself suggests that. Both the smartphones are priced under the $200 segment, which makes them more competitive.

Design and Display

As said earlier, both the smartphones will feature a metal frame along with the glass panel on front and rear. In terms of display, the Meizu U10 comes with a 5-inch display and the company did not reveal the display resolution. The Meizu U20 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display.

Also, there is a fingerprint sensor below the display, which the company as 'mTouch 2.1' embedded into the home button.

Same Chipset on Both Smartphones

Both the Meizu U10 and U20 feature the same octa-core chipset and the company did not reveal the information about the chipset. As far as RAM and internal storage are concerned, both the smartphones will arrive in two variants- 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage.

Same Camera as well

The Meizu U10 and U20 will feature a 13MP camera on the rear with support for PDAF and LED flash. Up front, there is a 5MP shooter to cover up the selfies and video calls.

Same Connectivity Options

The connectivity options are same either. Both the smartphones feature the standard set of connectivity options such as 4G LTE, 3G, Dual Hybrid SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port.

Bigger Battery on Meizu U20

The Meizu U10 comes with a 2,760mAh battery, whereas the Meizu U20 arrives with a 3,260mAh battery on board.

Both the smartphones boot YunOS with Flyme UI, which is the company's own skinned UI.

Pricing and Availability

The company also unveiled the pricing of both smartphones. The Meizu U10 with 2GB RAM/16GB storage retails for around CNY 999 (approx. Rs. 10000), whereas the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant costs CNY 1,119 (approx. Rs. 11,500). The U10 will be available in China from September 18 from Meizu online store.

The Meizu U20 with 2GB RAM/16GB storage retails for around CNY 1,099 (approx. Rs. 11200), whereas the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant costs CNY 1,299 (approx. Rs. 13,500). The Meizu U20 will be available in China starting from August 28 in Meizu online store.
