Meizu M3X and Pro 6 Plus Smartphones Launched: Everything You Need To Know
Meizu M3X and Pro 6 Plus smartphones feature a unibody metal design and packs in large Full HD and QHD displays respectively.
Chinese tech giant Meizu has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of two new handsets- Meizu M3X and Meizu Pro 6 Plus. Meixu M3X is a mid-range Android smartphone and will sell at an approximate price of Rs. 17,000, while Meizu Pro 6 Plus is priced at Rs. 30,000 approximately in Indian currency.
Meizu M3X will go on sale from 8 December, while Meizu Pro 6 Plus will start selling from December 23 in the Chinese market.

The smartphones have been launched in two storage variants and comes equipped with high-end specifications to take on the likes of Android handsets from Xiaomi, Lenovo, Oppo and other brands. Let's have a detailed look on the hardware and features of Meizu M3X and Meizu Pro 6 Plus.
Unibody Metal Designs with Large Displays
Both the handsets feature unibody metal designs and sports large 1080p displays. The affordable Meizu M3X features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) LCD display, while the more expensive Meizu pro 6 Plus sports even bigger and crisper 5.7-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 3D Press (pressure sensitive display) and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Processor and RAM
Meizu M3X is powered by a 64-bit 2.3GHz MediaTek P20 octa-core processor paired with ARM Mali T880 GPU. The smartphone will be available in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants. Coming on the expensive Meizu pro 6 Plus, the smartphone is backed by an Exynos 8890 SoC paired with a Mali T880 MP10 GPU. There is 4GB of RAM to support multitasking. Meizu M3X will be available in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB variants, while Meizu Pro 6 Plus will sell in 4GB/64GB variant with processors clocked at 2GHz and 2.3GHz frequencies.

Camera and Software
Talking about the camera, Meizu is offering a 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash on the M3X. The camera has f/2.0 aperture, comes with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), and can record in 4K format. Meizu M3X has a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Coming onto the expensive pro 6 Plus, the smartphone also has a 12MP rear camera but is paired up with dual-tone 10-LED Ring Flash, laser auto focus, and 4-axis optical image stabilization.
Both the handsets run on Flyme OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Battery and Connectivity
Meizu M3X is backed by a 3,200mAh battery unit with fast charging support. While the Meizu Pro 6 Plus packs in a bigger 3,400mAh battery unit with mCharge 3.0 24W fast charging support that as per Meizu charge the battery to up to 60 percent in 30 minutes.
Talking about the connectivity, the dual-SIM handsets offer4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, USB 3.1 Type-C, and NFC support.
Extra Features
Both the smartphone have fingerprint sensors integrated at home buttons, however the expensive Meizu pro 6 Plus also features a heart rate sensor and an infrared sensor. Meizu M3X will will be available in Pearl White, Phantom Blue, Gold, and Obsidian Black colour options and Meizu Pro 6 Plus will sell in Champagne Gold, Sky Grey, and Moonlight Silver colour options.
There's no word on the global launch of the handsets, however we expect Meizu to launch the new smartphones in January 2017 in the Indian market.
