Moto G4 Plus vs LeEco Le 2: The Clash Between Mid-Rangers Becomes Fiercer
Earlier this month, LeEco announced the launch of the Le 2 and Le Max 2. These phones will go on sale from June 28 via Flipkart and lemall.com. Of the duo, the Le 2 is a mid-ranger priced at Rs 11,999 and it will definitely compete with the others in the market with similar price tags.
Another smartphone that has been recently launched in the mid-range market is the Moto G4 Plus. This one has received an overwhelming response in the smartphone arena for its reasonable pricing and promising specs. The Moto offering is priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 14,999 for the two variants.

Both are pretty light weight
Both the Le 2 and Moto G4 Plus are pretty lightweight smartphones with a weight of 153 grams and 155 grams respectively. While the Le 2 features a metallic build, the Motorola smartphone has a plastic finish.
Display is identical
Both Moto G4 Plus and Le 2 flaunt an identical 5.5-inch display with FHD 1080p resolution that translates to a pixel density of 401 ppi. However, Le 2 uses an in-cell display technology that is better. On the other hand, the Moto G4 Plus screen is topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.
Lack of expandable storage in Le 2
The LeEco Le 2 incorporates a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor along with 3 GB RAM. On the other hand, the Moto G4 Plus is energized by a Snapdragon 617 processor. The latter comes in two variants - one with 16 GB internal storage space with 2 GB RAM and the other with 32 GB default storage and 3 GB RAM.

While the Le 2 has 32 GB of storage capacity that cannot be expanded further, the Moto G4 Plus storage can be expanded further up to 128 GB. Both run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but the Le 2 is topped with EUI 5.8.
Le 2 has better camera specs
Le 2 has a 16 MP powerful rear-facing snapper with dual-tone LED flash, phase detection autofocus, and f/2.0 aperture. Also on board is an 8 MP front snapper with f/2.2 aperture and 76.5-degree wide angle lens.
In comparison, the Moto G4 Plus boasts of a 16 MP rear-facing camera with laser and phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. It has a 5 MP selfie camera with auto-HDR and f/2.2 aperture.
Both phones are secure
Both smartphones have fingerprint scanners that make them highly secure. The one on the Moto G4 Plus is at the front and both the fingerprint scanners offer chip-level security to the smartphones.
3,000 mAh battery in both phones
A 3,000 mAh battery powers both the smartphones giving a long lasting backup to the mid-rangers. Also, there is support for fast charging from Qualcomm.
Price Verdict
While there is not much difference in terms of specs between both the smartphones, when it comes to price, the Le 2 is priced lesser at Rs 11,999. However, the flash sale model might move some buyers to the Moto G4 Plus that is available on open sale.
