As per the deal inked between Nokia and Microsoft, the former can release a phone with its branding after the third quarter of this year. While we are already in the third quarter, there are many rumors and leaks related to the upcoming Nokia's Android phones.
The latest one is that Nokia is prepping to release a couple of new smartphones in the fourth quarter of this year. The rumors suggest that these Nokia branded Android smartphones will be made by Finland's HMD Global that holds the license to sell the smartphones branded by Nokia for a decade.

Colorful and Bold Design
As per a report by GizmoChina, the two upcoming Android smartphones from Nokia are likely to be flagship devices that feature the trademark design language of Nokia. Also, a photo has been leaked tipping at the comeback of the colorful polycarbonate shells with expressive patterns and bolder design.
Snapdragon 820 SoC
The upcoming Nokia branded Android smartphones are claimed to be powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset that will bring the Quick Charge feature as well to pump enough life to these smartphones quickly.
Rugged all-metal build
The rumor also tips at an all-metal body and rugged build with IP68 certification that will make the Nokia's Android smartphones water and dust resistant like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. With the official launch of the Snapdragon 821 SoC, there are more chances for the Nokia phones to feature the upgraded chipset.
To Arrive with Android Nougat?
The Nokia smartphones are claimed to be launched with Android Nougat out-of-the-box with the Z Launcher UI. It is known that the Android Nougat will be released sometime in October, so it is likely that the launch of these smartphones will happen around the same.
What else we know?
Apart from these aspects, the report further revealed that the Nokia Android smartphones will arrive with a 22.6 MP main snapper at their back and feature a fingerprint scanner as well. As per a Nokia Power User report, the fingerprint scanner on the upcoming Nokia phones are likely to be most sensitive ones that we have ever seen. It is expected to arrive with a 2K display resolution and carry a price tag of 3,000 yuan (approx. $500).
However, this report tips that though the smartphones are planned for launch around the end of this year, they might be delayed until the first quarter of the next year depending on their testing and development.
