[UPDATE] OnePlus 3 Launch Pegged for June 14: 6 Things We Know About It
Update: GIzBot has just received an invite from OnePlus that the launch event of OnePlus 3 flagship smartphone will happen on May 27. We are yet to get an official confirmation and expect it to be announced soon.
Last year, OnePlus 2 was announced via a virtual reality launch event. This time, the Chinese maker is all set to launch one of the most anticipated smartphones, OnePlus 3, with much grandeur.
Lately, OnePlus announced that the OnePlus 3 will be unveiled on a virtual space station. The space station is called The Loop and it has posted a video showing off the Loop VR headset on its official YouTube channel.

In case, the speculated OnePlus specifications are accurate, it will be the most successful smartphone from the company.

The leakster initially shared a screenshot of the alleged OnePlus 3 prototype that runs on Android N developer build. It hints that the OnePlus 3 will be launched either with Android N OS or updated to the same soon after the final code is released by Google.

Snapdragon 820 SoC is expected
The upcoming flagship killer smartphone is expected to be a high-end smartphone featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and 64 GB of native storage capacity.
The device is also slated to feature a 16 MP main camera and include connectivity aspects such as NFC chip that was not a part of the OnePlus 2. In addition, the CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau, teased the 8 MP front-facing camera on the smartphone.
6 GB RAM variant is also coming?
The OnePlus 3 is suggested to come in two versions - one with 4 GB RAM and one with 6 GB RAM. These will have 32 GB and 64 GB of default memory capacity respectively.

Previous rumors tip that the device will be fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery that is accompanied by the fast charging technology known as Dash Charge.
OnePlus 3 to have a FHD panel
While many high-end smartphones feature Quad HD 1440p displays, the OnePlus 3 is likely to feature a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display. However, there is evidence that the resolution is compromised to render better performance and improved battery backup.
Usually, OnePlus smartphones aim at striking a balance between the hardware and cost. Eventually, 1080p display appears to be a reasonable compromise.
Camera samples were let out
The CEO of the company Pete Lau posted a photo taken using the camera of the smartphone. The resolution of the sample is 2448 x 3264 pixels that shows that it is an 8 MP sensor.
