Launched as its new flagship, the OnePlus 3 is a feature rich smartphone that maintains the company's 'flagship Killer' maker tag in the market. It is loaded with specifications that are seen on high-end flagship smartphones of top companies. Priced at Rs 27,999, the phone will be available exclusively via Amazon India starting June 15 at 12:30AM.
However, knowing that the competition has gone tougher than ever, with the likes of Xiaomi Mi5 and LeEco Le Max 2 boasting equally powerful specs and features, the question is whether the OnePlus 3 will be able to stay at par its competitors!
Here 5 easy ways to speed up your Ubuntu systems!
Here we bring to you a list of 7 things about the OnePlus 3 smartphone that you need to know now!
OnePlus 3 flaunts an aluminum metal body design, and comes in Graphite and Soft Gold colour variants. Going by the official images, we see quite a design change in the OnePlus 3, from its previous gen One and 2 smartphones. However, the basic key and fingerprint placement seem to be the same as earlier. You can notice the three hardware buttons at the bottom, with the home button doubling as a fingerprint reader. The good part is that OnePlus is offering a premium look and feel at a price of Rs 27,999. OnePlus 3 adorns a 5.5-inch display of FHD quality, packing in 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution, giving way to a pixel density of 401PPI. Though the company has maintained the 1080p resolution, what makes the display more promising is the AMOLED display. Overall, the display size and resolution seem good and should be a visual delight. In comparison, the Le Max 2 that has a bigger display at 5.2-inch with QHD screen resolution and the Xiaomi Mi5 has a 5.1-inch screen with FHD resolution. OnePlus 3 ensures good performance, courtesy Snapdragon 820 chipset with Adreno 530GPU, which is Qualcomm's most powerful chipset yet. With this CPU on board, OnePlus 3 should be able to handle heaviest of tasks and multitasking with much ease. It competitors in this space also boast SD820 on board. The OnePlus 3 ships with a massive 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which makes for an impressive combination and help in speedy performance. But for those who were wishing to see microSD card slot on the phone will be disappointed to know that the phone misses external memory support via microSD. The Xiaomi Mi5 with 3GB of RAM, and Le Max 2 also miss a microSD card slot. The Le Max 2 is also available in 4GB variant, and we are not sure if OnePlus would launch a variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB of native storage in some markets. OnePlus has loaded its new handset with a 16MP primary snapper with LED flash, optical image stabilization (OIS), aperture f/2.0, PDAF, support for 4K video recording and more. There is an 8MP front camera to take care of your selfies. Although higher pixel numbers don't always mean better photos, we expect the phone to do well in the camera department. More can be said when we have our hands on a review unit! The OnePlus 3 packs in a 3,000mAh battery, with fast charging feature for quick battery recharge up to a certain percentage. The company is boasting its Dash phone charger and says that it can charge the phone to 63 percent in 30 minutes! Just like the Mi5 and Le Max 2, OnePlus 3 also has a USB Type-C connectivity port for charging and quick data transfer. As far as other wireless connectivity options are concerned, it has dual SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS. The good part is that unlike the LeEco Le Max 2, the OnePlus 3 has a 3.5mm headphone jack.OnePlus 3 launched #1
