However, you'll not have to wait long to see what else the smartphone brings to the table. The company is hosting an event today where it's expected to launch the OnePlus 3T.

Here's what to expect from the smartphone

Refreshed internals

The image posted by the company on Weibo reads "TO BE A BETTER ME" from which, it can be inferred that the company is talking about refreshed internals. It is expected to be powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 821 chipset. Other specs like 6GB of RAM are most unlikely to change except for an improved camera.

Improved camera

Speaking of the camera, the device is rumoured to feature a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor with a f/1.7 aperture which is a welcome upgrade. The front facing 8MP camera is here to stay, though.

According to the rumours, the company is expected to shift to LCD panels as opposed to the Super AMOLED display on the OnePlus 3. However, the display size is expected to remain the same (5.5-inch).

Bigger battery

Bigger battery

We've used the OnePlus 3 as a daily driver for a long time now. And one of the few things we haven't like about the device is its mediocre battery life. However, this is about to change. The OnePlus 3T is expected to feature a bigger 3,300mAh battery.

Pricing

All the above upgrades would mean that the device will be priced higher than what OnePlus 3 was priced for at the launch time. If rumours are anything to go by, it'll be priced at USD 479 which roughly translates to Rs. 32,500.

Like we always say, all of this has to be taken with a pinch of salt since these are merely rumours. But, you don't have to wait long for the device will be made official today.
