We have recently covered a set of rumors shrouding over the OnePlus 4, the upcoming flagship phone from OnePlus. Of course, it's casual in the smartphone arena to get leaked miles ahead of the launch.

Having said that, in that report as well, we have considered and written the smartphone as OnePlus 4. However, a fresh report from PhoneRadar says that the smartphone will be called as OnePlus 5 and not OnePlus 4.
Well, let's find out the reason why OnePlus might skip the OnePlus 4 and launch the OnePlus 5, instead.
Numerical 4 Doesn’t do Good in China!
The blog states that: In China, binary four doesn't do that great and we have seen the same philosophy being implemented by other Chinese Vendors as well. It is known as ‘Tetraphobia'.
Other Chinese Brands Skipped as Well
It is worth noticing that other Chinese brands also did this in the past. One of the major brand Vivo also skipped the Vivo V4 and instead launched the Vivo V5 in all the countries. So, thus is another hint that OnePlus might consider skipping the OnePlus 4. To recall, Taiwanese smartphone giant, Sony also jumped the Xperia Z4 series of smartphones.
OnePlus 5 With Ceramic Body?
According to the latest report from a Chinese website, it is said that the OnePlus 5 will boast of the ceramic body, instead of the previously leaked metal body. However, the Ceramic body is very premium, but it does help in getting good network reception.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and 8GB of RAM
The smartphone might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 8GB of RAM. However, this is not yet confirmed, but OnePlus will surely go with the top-tier hardware.

Going by the iteration of previous OnePlus devices, the OnePlus 5 will be made available by the end of June as well.
