The South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched a couple of refreshed smartphones in the country - Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) with sizzling features for Rs 13,990 and Rs 15,990 respectively.

In comparison to their prequels, these smartphones have better hardware such as 4G LTE connectivity, front-facing snappers with LED flash, metal frame design, and support for VoLTE.

Both the latest entrants boast of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow topped with Samsung TouchWiz UI. These devices will be available exclusively via Flipkart from May 10.

Samsung Galaxy J7 has a bigger display!

The Galaxy J5 flaunts a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED HD 1280x720 pixel display that will result in a pixel density of 282 ppi.

On the other hand, the Galaxy J7 boasts of a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD 720p display that will have a lesser pixel density of 267 ppi. Otherwise, the Super AMOLED screen from Samsung is well known for the clarity and image quality.

Galaxy J7 runs on octa-core processor

The Galaxy J5 is backed by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and it is teamed up with 2 GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 16 GB that can be expanded up to 128 GB with a micro SD card.

The Galaxy J7 is equipped with an octa-core processor ticking at 1.6 GHz clock speed. The storage and RAM are the same as in its smaller sibling.

Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 have front facing flash

Both the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 are identical in the photography department. They flaunt a 13 MP main camera unit at the back and a 5 MP front-facing snapper for selfies. The front and rear camera modules in both smartphones have a f/1.9 aperture and LED flash.

Galaxy J7 has NFC support

The two new Samsung mid-rangers are packed with standard connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Also, they support 4G LTE along with VoLTE.

In addition, the Galaxy J7 comes with NFC support as well. Both smartphones are dual-SIM devices with 4G LTE support on both the SIM cards.

Galaxy J7 has a capacious battery

The Galaxy J5 is fueled by a 3,100 mAh battery and its bigger kin is powered by a bigger 3.300 mAh battery. The backup rendered by these batteries are yet to be revealed but they are expected to last longer as in the predecessors of these smartphones.
