Samsung Galaxy Wide launched: Is this the new Galaxy On7!
Samsung has unveiled a new smartphone named as Galaxy Wide (SM-G600S) in the home country, Korea. The phone is paced as a mid-ranger with 4G LTE support. Interesting part is that most of its specs are similar to that of the last year's Galaxy On7, but with higher RAM and latest Android version. Going by its specs, there is a possibility that the phone is a Korean version of the rumored Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) version that has been doing rounds for quite some time.
Here we take a look at the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Wide smartphone that has been announced for 319,000 Korean Won (translating to about Rs 18,550):
Big Screen:
Samsung Galaxy Wide smartphone flaunts a big screen, at 5.5-inch with HD resolution offering 1280 x 720 pixels. The display size and resolution is the same as the last year's Galaxy On7.

Processor and storage capacity:
Speaking of the hardware, the Galaxy Wide smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 2GB RAM, which is higher than the RAM size on the Galaxy On7 (2015), and is the same as the rumored Galaxy On7 (2016). As far as the storage space is concerned, there is an 8GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB on microSD card.
13MP rear camera:
In the camera department, the phone features a 13MP rear-facing snapper with LED flash, f/2.1 aperture, 1080p video recording capability and more. For the selfie enthusiasts, there is a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. The camera specs also seem similar to the last years Galaxy On7 smartphone!

Android Marshmallow on board:
Speaking of the software, the Galaxy Wide runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is the newer version as compared to the Lollipop version that ran on the last year's Galaxy On smartphone.
Battery:
To power up the device and ensure smooth processing, the Galaxy Wide smartphone packs in a 3000mAh removable battery, which should last for a day of mixed use.

4G Connectivity:
As for connectivity options, the Galaxy Wide is a dual-SIM smartphone that supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS/ GLONASS. It has microUSB port and a 3.5mm audio jack as well.
Other:
The phone is available in Black and White colors in Korea. These are the standard colors for most Samsung smartphones in the mid-range and low-range segment.
