The South Korean tech giant has already released a good number of smartphones in the budget segment to compete against its Chinese counterparts. Few of them include Galaxy On5 Pro, On7 Pro, Galaxy J5 Prime, and J7 Prime.
And it appears as if the company is all set to launch the next iteration of On series smartphones - the Galaxy On8 in India. Flipkart, the Indian e-commerce giant has recently shared a Facebook post which read "Super AMOLED meets Full HD, #TheNextON COMING SOON" indicating at what could be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy On8 smartphone.
What's exciting to know is if the Galaxy On8 will be a part of Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale, which is scheduled to take place from October 2nd to 6th. Well, we are not sure about it, but here are few features you should expect from the Galaxy On8.
Super AMOLED Full HD display
Samsung's smartphones are best known for their eye-popping displays, thanks to the bright AMOLED panels. And the successor of Galaxy On7 is no exception from this. It'll sport a Super AMOLED Full HD display.
3GB of RAM
Lately, 3GB of RAM has become a norm for smartphones. The Galaxy On8 will also feature 3GB of RAM for smooth multitasking. There's no word on the amount of internal storage space it'll pack, though.
Though there's no word on the fingerprint sensor, it's likely that it'll feature one since all the recent budget phones from the South Korean giant released packs a fingerprint sensor.
Long lasting battery
We've been pretty much impressed by the kind of battery life we got on Galaxy On7. So, we can safely expect a good battery life from its successor as well. Even the Flipkart's dedicated webpage for the Galaxy On8 points at a long lasting battery.
Launch date in India
Flipkart hasn't revealed the launch date of the smartphone. However, we can expect the smartphone to be launched during the Big Billion Days sale. What remains unclear, though, is if it's going to be a part of the sale?
