Sony Xperia X Compact Pegged for IFA 2016 Launch: Here's What We Know So Far
Sony is all gearing up to launch new smartphones under the newly created Xperia X series. With the IFA 2016 around the corner, plenty of leaks have already started mulling over the internet regarding the new smartphones.
Sony is expected to launch a high-end Xperia X smartphone with top-notch hardware under-the-hood. Also, the company isn't killing the trend of releasing Compact smartphones. It is widely expected that Sony might also launch Xperia X Compact at the event.
We have already seen several rumors over the internet regarding the specifications of the smartphone, however, today, the smartphone is spotted on GFXBench confirming all the specifications.

Having said that, the GFXBench specifications were not matched with the previous leaked. Check out the sliders below on what GFXBench says about the smartphone.
Compact 4.6-inch 1080p screen
Many users will be rejoicing here as the previous leaks said that the X Compact might feature a 720p screen. However, GFXBench suggests that the smartphone will have a compact 4.6-inch 1080p screen.
Snapdragon 820 and Adreno 530 GPU
The compact doesn't mean the smartphone to have the low-end hardware. Sony is powering the Xperia X Compact with the flagship chipset Snapdragon 820 which is a quad-core CPU.
The chipset will be divided into two dual-cores Kryo chips, which are clocked at 2.1GHz and 1.6GHz.
4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage
GFXBench has all the information. The smartphone will arrive with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
16MP Rear Camera and 8MP front facing camera
The Sony Xperia X will feature a 16MP rear camera which has support for autofocus, PDAF, LED flash, and tap to focus. However, GFXBench shows that there is no Auto HDR mode, which is a bit of a letdown. The rear camera can also record videos of 4K quality.
There will be a front facing camera of 8MP which can record videos of 2592*1944 quality.
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
This is an expected feature. The Xperia X Compact to arrive with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
Release date and pricing
We've no words on the release date and pricing of the smartphone, however, it is widely expected that the smartphone will be launched at the IFA 2016 event which is due to start in this week.
