The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona, is just a little over a month away from now. After LG, Sony has also sent press invites for its MWC 2016 event. The company has scheduled the event for February 22 at 8:30am CET (1PM IST).
Sony has not yet revealed what device or service it will introduce at the MWC 2016. Unfortunately, the invite is quite simple and doesn't reveal anything about what the company has planned and we can't really get anything from it.
Last year at MWC 2015, Sony has introduced the Xperia Z4 Tablet and the M4 Aqua, so Xperia Z5 Tablet seems likely in this year MWC. There is also possibility to refresh its wearable lineup and could also be an Xperia Z6 at MWC 2016.
Well, few analysts say, since the company has launched its Z5 smartphone series during IFA 2015 in September, it might not introduced the successor yet. However, we have jotted down the some rumored devices that could be launched by Sony at MWC 2016.
A 2016 Flagship
Last year Sony didn't hold a press event at MWC 2015 and still announced two devices, which means that something pretty big is probably planned and is likely to announce multiple device. There is much speculation about the Sony Xperia Z6, but several tech enthusiasts suspect there will be a mid-ranged handset instead.
The new smartphone said to be the successor of Xperia C5 has been leaked online with specifications. The leaked device is dubbed as Xperia C6 and it is speculated that Sony might announce the new device at MWC 2016.

Refreshed lineup of wearables
There will be lots of wearables to see at MWC 2016. Sony launched SmartWatch 3 at IFA 2014, so it is one of the oldest devices in Sony's current portfolio and we expect the company to announce the refreshed lineup of wearables.
Earlier this month at the CES 2016, Sony has launched a new range of multi-room capable home entertainment products, a Walkman A26 and other personal audio products. We expect that the company will showcase them at MWC 2016.
