Tata Sky, one of the largest DTH operator in India has now announced that their Everywhere TV feature which allow users to stream 80 live channels on the go is now available for free. This latest move by Tata Sky however seems to be triggered by the launch and the hype surrounding Netflix in India.
The DTH provider had launched the Everywhere TV feature back in October 2013 at a charge of Rs 60 per month. It allowed registered Tata Sky users to access the feature via the official apps for iOs, Android, Mac and Windows PC. Incidentally the service is yet not supported for Windows phones.
From now on though consumers can view channels which are a part of their subscription via the app on using their Subscription ID to active the free Everywhere TV feature. However its worth noting that you can stream channels on maximum two devices at a time due to stipulations by content providers.
